In-House Laboratory
Having a laboratory on-site has some great perks— speed, efficiency, and accuracy.
Lab work plays a huge role in preventative care, so getting test results back to you as quickly and accurately as possible is important. The veterinary technicians at Archer Veterinary Clinic are trained to analyze a wide range of blood work, fecal samples, urinalysis, skin scrapings, and more.
For many tests, we are able to share results with you within minutes. This is great, especially in critical cases, when time is of the essence.
Digital X-Ray
Digital x-rays instantly produce clear images of your pet’s internal systems. Because the images are digital, we can easily share results with you and specialists. We commonly use digital radiology to identify foreign objects, tumors, fractures and breaks, bladder stones, intestinal blockages, chronic arthritis, spinal cord conditions, heart disease, liver disease, and kidney disease.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound technology is pretty special because it allows our veterinarians to see what is going on inside your pet’s body without the need for invasive procedures. This way, we can quickly, accurately, and confidently identify areas of concern. Ultrasound imaging is helpful in diagnosing heart abnormalities, cysts, and tumors, to name a few.
Electrocardiogram
An electrocardiogram makes sure your pet’s heart is functioning properly by measuring heart rhythms and electrical impulses. Your pet will be placed gently on their side with electrodes located on specific areas of the body. This process is non-invasive and only takes a few minutes to complete.
Pain Management
Pets cannot communicate pain the same way humans do. We never want our furry friends to suffer, so it’s important to pay attention to symptoms of discomfort.
At Archer Veterinary Clinic, we do all we can to minimize and eliminate pain in our patients. If you suspect your pet is in pain, we will first perform a comprehensive physical exam. Further testing may be needed. If so, we are fully equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound technology, and an in-house lab so we can make a diagnosis sooner and begin managing pain right away.
During surgical procedures, pain is rigorously monitored and managed by our trained clinical team.
